Naval architecture is an engineering discipline dealing with the design, construction, maintenance and operation of marines and structures. Naval architecture involves basic and applied research, design, development, design evaluation and calculations during all stages of the life of a marine vehicle. Preliminary design of the, its detailed design, construction, trials, operation and maintenance, launching and dry-docking are the main activities involved. Ship design calculations are also required for ships being modified (by means of conversion, rebuilding, modernization). Naval architecture also involves formulation of safety regulations and damage control rules and the approval and certification of ship designs to meet statutory and non-statutory requirements. The main elements of naval architecture are:
Conversion from container vessel into a livestock carrier vessel. Project approved by to Bureau Veritas(BV) and under Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Ireland(IRISH) and Australian Maritime Safety Authority(AMSA) Rules.
DetailsConversion of a pure car carrier into a livestock carrier vessel. Project approved by ClassNK (Nippon Kaiji Kyokai).
DetailsConversion of a car carrier vessel into a livestock vessel. Project approved by Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and Certificate issued by Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Ireland
DetailsConversion of a car carrier vessel into a livestock vessel. Average loading capacity is about 3300 cattles. Project approved by International Naval Surveys Bureau (INSB).

DetailsAna is a Normally Unmanned Wellhead Platform with 4 × Platform wells, pipework fully rated to well closed-in tubing head pressure, cold vent, helideck, chemical storage and injection pumps for MEG, temporary refuge, lifeboat, facilities to enable temporary installation of pig receivers and pig launchers, minimal other facilities.
DetailsLAMDA platform is design to function as a NNM (Not Normally Manned) , remotely operable under all weather condition. It will have two main decks (Drilling and Production) and a mezzanine deck and will contain slots to allow up to 15 wells to be drilled.
DetailsType: Tanker barge non-propelled Hull material: Steel Superstructure material: Steel Type of cargo: diesel fuel Length max.: 50.00 m Breadth max.: 11.20 m Draft at maximum load: 2.00 m Freeboard corresponding to the ship’s draft at max.load: 0.5 m Load capacity: 527 t (density 0.83 kg/m3)
Detail design under BV.
BLUE LINE has the ability to convert the owner’s dream into reality. At the early stages of the design our team determines the parameters that will form the basis for optimum ship dimensions, hull form development as well as propulsion system selection and auxiliary systems, according to the customer’s requirements.

A new fabrication step to complete the fabrication: 185.15 t and measuring 51.5 m wide and 21.8 m length, successful lift installations of heavy offshore structures required comprehensive and detailed studies involving many engineering and geometrical constraints including geometric configuration of the structure, its weight and center of gravity, member strength, rigging details, lifting cranes and floating lifting crane an also other construction constraints like maximum ground pressure. These constraints needed to be resolved efficiently in order to arrive a cost – effective solution.
VideoAugust, 2020
On the 3rd of August 2020 was scheduled the first major lifting for Ana Platform Project build in GSP Shipyard.
The lifting of approximately 127 tons Cellar Deck was performed in accordance with the documentation prepared by Blue Line engineers.
Advanced analysis with the finite element method using FEMAP NASTRAN SOFTWARE was performed to verify the stress and displacement that occurred in deck structure and lifting pad eyed in order to minimize the impact of lifting on local structure.
It was also prepared the set of two cranes LR1300 and LR1280 involved in lifting, using Liebherr Crane planer, the selection of lifting slings, and the design of pad eyes.
The lifting was performed in good conditions and the Cellar Deck was positioned on topside grillage as it was planned.
